A Complete Guide to Oktoberfest 2021 at Plattduetsche from October 1-15
General Info
In 1810, there was a large, elaborate wedding for Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavarian and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen in Munich. With horse racing, amusements and plenty of drinking, these grand nuptials eventually turned into an annual festival that you might know as simply “Oktoberfest.” And the rest, as they say, is history.
Well, with Oktoberfest becoming a global institution, it’s no surprise that, as LI’s premier destination for all things German-American culture and heritage, we’d host our own version of the festival.
We have food, beers, music, bands, dancing and much more! So, be sure to come on down and experience an authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest without visiting Munich! And best of all, admission is free!
Music and Dancing
